What is the School PSAT/SAT School Day?
SAT School Day gives students the opportunity to take the SAT on a weekday—instead of a weekend—in the comfort of their own school. There's no need to register, and students do not have to pay any fees. All students are highly encouraged to participate by being in attendance and on time to school on PSAT/SAT School Day.
Taking the SAT is an important step for every student. It’s a globally recognized college admission test that’s accepted at all U.S. colleges, measuring what students are learning in high school and what they need to know to succeed.
In EPISD, all students are highly encouraged to participate in SAT School Day:
- 9th grade students take the 8/9 PSAT in the Fall semester
- 10th grade students take the PSAT/NMSQT in the Fall semester
- 11th grade students take the PSAT/NMSQT in the Fall semester and the SAT in the Spring semester
- 12th grade students take the SAT in the Fall semester
Additionally, students may opt to register to take the SAT test on their own for additional attempts. Students would be responsible for registering themselves on an available test date and pay the testing fees.
Note: Some students may be eligible for fee waiver to cover the test registration fee. Students may check their CollegeBoard account for more information.
